Any Abu Ambassadeur collectors or experts aboard??

Greetings,
I know we focus on Lugers here, but I have come across what I think is an interesting anomaly with an Ambassadeur casting reel. I own an Ambassadeur 5000 with serial number 730301 stamped on the bottom of the reel. I put that serial number in Google in an effort to determine the date of manufacture as I was going to list it for sale on eBay. Strangely, instead of a date, a completed eBay auction came up the same serial number. However it is on a 6000 and I have a 5000. Does anyone on the forum know if this a common occurrence or should I attempt to contact the owner of 6000 to inform him of this.

Mike, Might be a number typo? Can you see a photo of the number on eBay?

Same model? 5908C? Ya got me! I don't guess many people know or are aware of serial numbers on fishing reels? I used to buy and sell a bunch of them but I don't remember being aware of serials all that much. From the looks of it I would be wrong.
