Hi Norm

Here are the pictures You asked for ( I hope) The gun has obviously been sanded . I think that maybe the "ears" on the frame look "rouded" due to the sanding ? The first part of the rail on the left of the frame is not flat , when seen towards a light, but slightly curved , other mark of sanding ( I guess)

Hi Pierre, Thanks for posting those additional photos. I'd still like to see a photo of the left side of the breech block, like the one below of my 1916 Navy. Your gun seems to have been assembled from parts of several different guns, possibly during the Weimar era. So far the only part that appears to be from an original 1916 Navy is the receiver. You can see that the number 4 on the receiver lug on both your gun and mine has a distinctive "foot". This foot is absent from the 4's on your gun's frame, barrel, and rear toggle, which leads me to believe that these parts have been renumbered to match the receiver. It's still a very intriguing Navy. Best regards, Norm
