I just picked up a 1940 Vet Bring back, one problem the inside safety lever is broken off. If I can find another safety can this be replaced?

Yes, the safety can be removed by driving out a small internal pin. If it is a question of welding back the little link, this is preferable as the outside thumb lever will most likely be numbered to the gun. Replacing the part entirely would make this a mismatched part, unless you are lucky enough to locate a similarly numbered part.
LugerDoc, (Tom Heller) here on the boards can most likely repair this part or possibly have a matching part as replacement. Good Luck! |

Capt. Craig, I do have a lot of exc Mauser safety levers & bars in stock. Just be sure that you get a Mauser one to match your PO8, as any other maker will use a different die numbering set and earlier ones have their serial in a slightly different location. TH

I am not sure what you mean by "inside" safety lever. Do you mean the bottom part of the safety lever that is under the grip?
