We assumed that the gun had not previously been registered.

So Im filling out the paperwork now, and I will hopefully be able to mail it off tomorrow. I just don't know what to fill in the blanks. Here are the questions I am having problems with:

Make: Do I put Pistole Parabellum or Luger?
Model: No idea?
Barrel Length: Seen a couple different ones, but Im not sure the exact number.

Thanks again.

Luger is the american term, however, a lugers serial number is the following (as an example, after all this time, i don't remember what your luger is)

DWM, 1917, sn 4355i

The maker, the year, the full serial number to include suffix is needed.

P08 for the model is good

Barrel length, take a pencil, with bolt closed and drop it down the barrel and then measure it. Most likely just under 4 inches...

Well, I sent my paperwork in a week and a half ago. Haven't received anything back in the mail, although Im not sure that I would. I figured I would get a copy of the registration like you would if you bought a new gun from a dealer. I am going to call them this week to make sure they got it and get the ok to take it to the range. Thank you so much for all the help and advice you gave me. You guys are a classy and intelligent bunch here. If there is any other advice you can give a first time Luger owner Id appreciate it. Ill let you guys know how it fires when Im done. Thanks again.

After reading all the above posts I can, perhaps for the first time, say sincerely; Thank God I live in Kansas. Also a CCP holder.

And I'll sure be glad when I finally learn how to browse this site.

Do what you're comfortable with. As far as I'm concerned, the Goverment already knows too much about my business.
