![]() Perhaps Robert can explain the 'Iranian' connection mentioned on this auction...(I know Iran was part of Persia at one time, but what does this have to do with Lugers?) ![]()

Hi Rich, Iran was known as Persia prior to 1935. Regards, Norm

Robert's inclusion of 'Iran" begs the question [to me, at least] of whether there was some kind of Iranian connection, maybe an 'Iranian Contract' for Lugers...Post 1935...Not part of the original 'Persian' contract of 1000 or the later 980 as publicized by Walter...

If he said Iran instead of Persia, I don't think he's wrong and I think we can lighten up on the guy
![]() IMHO, a righteous luger is liable to go for more if included with some questionable items in my opinion? Ed

![]() I was interested in knowing if the "Iranians"/or the Shah had another order besides what is commonly referred to as "Persian" Lugers...That is, the original contract/contracts...Some say 1929, some say 1935...

If it's not too much trouble, could you get a shot of the other side of the sign??? I'm curious if it says "You are entering Iraq", or "You are leaving Iran", or "Have a good day", or whatever... ![]() Ummm...Looks like it's 'whatever'... ![]()
