Has any company came out with a set recently? It looks to me like a refinished luger and new magazines? The dealer won't let me take a picture. The mfg on the tag is DWM. Any help would be appreciated.

With the S/N plus 1, 2, and 3; it sounds like police magazines. Does the Luger have a sear safety or the remnants of a magazine safety?

I'm attaching a couple of photos to show the safeties that I mentioned above. Notice the riveted piece on top of the side plate--that's the sear safety. The other photo shows the slot cut in the side of the frame that indicated an old magazine safety.

Thank you for the photos, I'm going to go look at it again. The magazines appear to be new, be very well made, I see no wear or patina to the magazines, however the case that the gun, cleaning kit, magazines, and empty box of shells looks to be old...

The Luger itself appeared to be an old Luger, that has been re-finished...

If he's asking more than a grand for it...It's overpriced...

The asking price is 1600.00. Found out a little more, the magazines are newly made by someone in Arizona. The gun appears to be all matching with serial number 725. Seems like a low serial number. is it possible for new numbers to be applied to old parts? Some of the numbers on the gun appear to be very crisp, like they were done prior to the refinish job. Either way decided against the purchase, just seems like to many unanswered questions.

Luger serial numbers are recurring; with letters added under the grip frame serial every 9999 pistols...

Some of the numbers on the gun appear to be very crisp...

Does that mean that the rest appear blurred, or faint, or lightly struck??? RED FLAG!!!
