Recently I ran across a box of .30 cal Luger shells with 1 round missing, and I flashed back. In 1981 I traded AE Luger serial # 66611 (easy to remember) to an out-of state dealer for 2 Colt Mk 4's and a Ruger T512. I fired 1 round to be sure the old hoss was still functional. We were both happy, a good deal.
My curiosity is piqued... where is the AE now? I think the dealer was in Illinois, not sure. Where has the old girl been in 30 years? Who is admiring her now? Any help appreciated. Thanks, guys. |

Todd,
This might help; your serial number 66611 is on Dwight's commercial database. You can access that site here: click DWMCommercialDatabaseV4.pdf Mike |
