Currently finishing up a P.38 with a finish that looks a lot like the dusty blue on early byfs. Adding this service to my Luger site. Please see my website for refinishing shooter grade weapons. I steer clear of collection grade guns. Pictures to follow in a few days. ~Thor~

BTW, I am adding my rework mark to the frame just above the lanyard ring/loop (under the grips on the left side) I will be bringing this P.38, a double date Luger and a Pre War PPK to the WOL meeting in March. ~Thor~

Is that a challenge?? I'll see your bid and raise you one SVW45 P-38 'French' by Mauser Werke, Oberndorf, and the "Bulgarian Mystery" commercial Luger with a five digit serial number!!

Did you know that the French strawed small parts on SOME of the SVW45/46 guns they built?...pretty guns!..with a much nicer blue than normal..probably meant for some special group, I would guess?....have seen several NIB [Interarms imports]

Orv, I didnt know that at all. I think I will leave strawing parts on P.38s to others. I had seen some done on Martz pistols and though I hold him in very high regard indeed, it didnt "do it" for me. I am striving to find old shooters that are mis matched part guns that still have a great amount of original mill marks that I am saving like this first one I did. I mark each with my rework mark as is my personal policy! I am VERY HAPPY with the first one! ~Thor~
