Yes, mine has an accelerator. If I remember correctly, your trigger guard is an earlier version.

Yes, that site you linked above says both the round flanged barrel and thin trigger guard are indicative of early models...

There was another thread here a year or two ago with a link to another good Lahti site...which went into the railroad connection a bit...Several members offered comments...Interesting reading...hmmm...

I have been monitoring Gunbroker for a very, very, very, long time looking for an excellent M40 and an excellent L35. Both of yours are beautiful examples.

They changed to the larger trigger guard to accommodate troops wearing gloves. After all, these were designed to be used in severe winter conditions.

Two decades ago, I had (sold it) a mint M40 rig. I miss it and have been looking for another since. Of course, I'm not looking for one Denmark marked or one with import markings.
