Hi Don, Most Imperial Lugers (with the notable exception of those issued to Bavarian units) dated 1913 and earlier, have a small inspection mark on the front sight. This indicates that they have been retrofitted with the taller 50 meter sight blade. One would not expect to see this mark on a gun dated 1915. Regards, Norm
