How good are the repro parts?

Not all repro parts are created equal...I ordered a repro sear spring for a C96 Mauser Broomhandle some time ago (before buying an original from Alvin) from Numrich/Gun Parts Corp, and when it came I was delighted...Fully machined (not cast), perfect fit, and worked great...once...

The second time I cocked the pistol, the spring did not spring back...it stayed bent...

...Inferior steel/unhardened/untempered...Choose one...
