Default Luger Box

Beautiful Box......Im hopefully in the process of building one for my 6" Barrel Luger that Luger Doc is working on right now......my question is......how did you do the Luger Cutout..??....is there a stencil available or did you just wing it..?......let me know if you will.....I appreciate it.........Thanks....Hans Fischer

there are many ways but I simply traced it on paper, glued the paper to wood and cut it out on a scroll saw. Then I lined it with felt [flocking would be better] and glued a piece of felt to the bottom. The cut out is just a drop in held in place by the trim I used to hold the lift off lid. there is a plywood bottom and the top is just a raised panel fit into a groove. You could cut out patterns and route the insert areas. If you go that route you could make templates for the various parts and set the router to different depths. It would be more difficult to do the felt that way though unless you have a flocking setup. Hope this helps.
