Finally got around to doing this. I think it turned out good. I am not done with the finishing yet. just 1 coat so far. It is an oil finish and will get several more coats.
the box is made from cherry that he and I sawed up back in the seventies and the top is a scrap of sepele I had lounging around the shop.  It aint a Luger but it will house one.....   hope the pics show up.
