Default Re: Shooter Ammo ?

I shoot the wolf stuff, and I do have a few minor problems with it:

-It is messy. The lacquer on the steel cases comes off in powder form and sticks everywhere and makes it hard to clean the nooks and crannies

-Every once and awhile the spent shells will not fully extract and jam in the chamber. I use a wood stick to un-jam them. A related problem is sometimes they extract, but slow enough that they get caught by the bolt as it comes forward again.

-It seems to be dirtier than the Q (NATO, Winchester)loads.

The wolf ammo is very inexpensive, and if you can live with the above, I think it is alright. However, the next batch of ammo I buy will be brass cased Q loads, unless I can't get it cheap enough.
