Hi Tom,
above the right grip should be the place for the WaA 76 mark, but there is not. From the picture it appears as something was stamped, but from visual inspection (also using a loop) you can't find anything. The WaA stamp should also be on top of the rail, usually between PRAG and the s/n. From the picture you can see that the surface is missing this stamp. Furthermore, the gun has commercial acceptance stamps (lion/N) on the barrel and on the receiver. I don't think the serial numbers were faked, the man who sold me the pistol didn't mention the WaA 76 and I found it later, after an accurate cleaning. I cannot imagine the reason why this gun has both civilian and military stamps. Best regards Antonio |
