Uncle's 1936 S/42

A couple of things here - and maybe I'm a little off but here goes:
1. The parts that are supposed to be strawed appear strawed in the photos to me.
2. Were they still rust bluing in 1936? I think that, by that time, they had switched to hot bluing, which would make the pistol blue inside and out.
