Default Re: When will you guys ever learn?

Oh, Contrare Fine Sir,

As this forum has taught me, you may not agree with all members of your family but they are still family. We Luger collectors are a strange breed to be sure but when one of us needs something, we all come running to his or her aid, as evidenced by my posting yesterday, regarding the injury sustained by my "Favorite Luger". people came running with words of encouragement and support. No "I told you so's". Just solutions to my problem. A big thanks to Thor and Tom Heller as well as others who, with their help, my Luger will be good as new in about a week! (well maby not that good, afterall it really only has about 75% of it's original finnish) I never said it was the best, just my favorite, because it has afforded me the oppurtunity to shoot it and explore more importantly it's history, without risking financial ruin. I don't shoot any of my guns in mint condition. #1 I can't afford to, #2 I probably wouldn't if I could afford it. This forum is kind of like picking on someone three times your size. You are more likely to if your four brothers are standing behind you. Yes it was a gamble to shoot my Luger, but I knew that if something went wrong, the guys(and gals) here would back me up and help in any way they could! You know what? I was right.

Best Regards,

Tim Canney
