Make sure you're sitting down while you read what happened to me today. I dropped my wife off for a dental appointment, and since I had an hour to kill, I drove around looking something to do. I found myself passing a Good Will thrift shop, so I parked, went in, and started browsing around. I noticed a cardboard carton about the size of a shoebox marked "Skate Keys, 15 cents" and so I started rummaging through a couple of hundred key-like objects of all kinds, when suddenly I found myself holding what appeared to be a Luger loading tool in outstanding condition! My heart pounding, I kept swishing my hand around and came up with another one, then another, then another. By the time I had dumped the box onto the floor and sorted out all the pieces, I found myself holding seventy-three beautiful tools, many of them with Waffenampt and imperial markings! My hands shaking, I presented them to the clerk and, since they were selling for 15 cents apiece, my bill came to only $8.76, since, and get this, I was entitled to a 20% senior citizen discount! I am now at home carefully cataloging and bagging each tool. So what do you think of that stroke of luck? Where the heck could they have come from?

That is truly an amazing find, you really never know where you'll find stuff. I'll take one of the imperial marked ones for $1, OK?

Ya know things like this really tick me off! That's because "I" didn't find it first!! Well I guess I'll have to congratulate you on your find. It just goes to show if you keep your eyes open there are still many bargains out there. I myself was blessed with a super deal a Colt .22 conversion slide complete (no box) near mint for a whopping $25 at an auction! They don't come often but when they do boy is it nice!

Congrats on the find. I would bet some dead collector had them and Mom did not have a clue what they were?
Recently, a widow gave a bunch of old stuff to the Salvation Army near here. It was Nazi uniforms and flags that her old man had acquired over the years. She had no idea they were worth anything. The guy who picked them up for the store said he could not 'remember' any uniforms or flags and none showed up at the store, either [gee, I wonder what happened?] I bought a "Stop" pistol he had brought home from her when she told me the sad story. A buddy was in Salvation Army store with his kids...the little boy wanted Dad to buy him a toy pistol....and he was holding a .45 cal 'Liberator' pistol priced for 50 cents. It still had ammo in the handle! It never hurts to look, eh? The Shadow Knows |

Hank, great find. It sure does pay to keep your eyes open everywhere. You just never know what you will find. By the way, I'll take two also.
