I went to the Shattuck home one morning to pay them a visit. I rang the front doorbell and waited. After a few seconds Mr. Shattuck came to the door. With a pleasant "Good Morning" he opened the outer security door and shook my hand. It was then that I noticed he had a Luger in his left hand. I asked myself, "Where else could you bet met at the door by a man with a gun in his hand and be made to feel so at home" ?? It's moments like that which I will truly miss as they uniquely Ralph Shattuck.
