I sport a "#1 Military Haircut" myself (have for ~26 years)...but Ermey had a cable TV show called "Mail Call" and he had a regulation Marine haircut (high & tight white sidewalls with an island of hair on top).

I doubt he cut/shaved it just for a Geico commercial...but he may have done so for a movie spot...

Have to Google that and see what he's up to...
