Good question with no readily available answer.
Mauser did change the barrel design after 1972, so there is a good chance that guns with the P08 style front sight made it to the USA. The problem is that the .30 luger version was not a huge seller, neither in the US nor in Europe, so Mauser had a lot of guns in storage which lasted for quite a while. |
