Default Fitting a new sideplate

Hi, I bought an aftermarket sideplate assembly for my P08. It needed to be fitted, so I filed the outside of the bar that extends under the Locking Bolt.
I now find that the Trigger Lever does not put enough presssure on the Trigger Bar Plunger to fire the pistol.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks, Tony

In the past I have built up this area with silver solder or JB Weld, which fixed the problem..
