Actually the Imperial Grand Fleet was sunk. By the terms of the armistice, the bulk of the fleet was interned at Scapa Flow, the British naval base in Scotland. Then, on June 21st 1919, the German crews scuttled their ships, rather then turn them over to the Allies. It's unclear whether their issue Lugers were still onboard. Regards, Norm
