Somebody put a LOT of work into that pistol. Can anybody read the inscribed plate on the barrel?

Not a hand-made. It is a converted gun.
I am not sure the definition of hand-made, in imagination, the starting point (i.e. raw material before making) is supposed to be a chunk of steel, not another gun. I cannot read German. Is it described as handmade? |

I think the inscription is a persons name, Wolfram Rau. Neat way that the safety lever is reversed. I have seen that conversion before. It makes it much more easy to apply or release the safety without changing your grip on the gun.

The ad describes it as a pistol made by an unknown gunsmith apprentice. It has the look and feel of a student's graduation project. Nice job, I like the gold plate inlays in the frame ears.
