The problem with re-bluing (IMO) is the buffing that many if not all re-bluers think they have to do to the pistol...Lugers, Walthers, Nambus etc should have tool marks on them; and sharp edges; and crisp blend lines; buffing them to a high gloss gives them a "melted" look that greatly detracts from the aesthetics and value of the pistol...

IMHO, a buffed and re-blued Luger is a $300 - $400 Luger, at best...
