You have an American Eagle .30 caliber Pistol. the Serial Numbers 30900 would indicate that it was made well before WW-1. The barrel should be 4.75 inches long..a very slender and attractive barrel [when compared to the later guns]
All the major parts should have the full number...the small parts should all have '00' on them? It should have a grip safety, the area under the safety lever should be 'bright'. The extractor, when lifted up by the cartridge should say 'loaded' DWM stand for Deutche Waffen und Munitionfabrik...[or something like that..I don't do German] which means German Weapons and Munitions.... The blue is a rust blue, if original..it is fragile so store the gun in a cotton sock..[not a holster!] after rubbing light oil all over it except the wood grips.. The magazine should be bright metal with a wood base...it, too, could be marked 'Germany' Value depends greatly on the condition... Feel free to contact me by email, if you wish? The Shadow Knows! hehehehehehehehehe |
