Default You guys are a bad, bad influence...

Now you've got me interested in P-38's...

I can't afford to do anything...P-38's cost too much...

See... The first fix is free, or inexpensive. Then when they get you hooked....

You could sell that long snouted P38 as a SS Gestapo assassin's pistol. Just kidding. I like P38s also but only have two: a nice AC43 and a late model P1. The P1 is crap IMHO.

I think I like the 1" longer barrel more...but I also got the proportions of the artillery barrel off a little...have to fix that...there, that's better...

I'm waiting for my registration at p38forums to be validated...so I can search and see what all has been done with long-barreled P-38's...

I have questions in on two commercial P-38's on GB...but I think they have alloy frames, no???

I like that artillery P-38. I wonder how well it would shoot and the accuracy.

Somebody here has a long-barreled P-38, like a carbine...a Martz, I think...argh...can't get these pictures out of my head...

I thought the photos were a joke. I didn't know Martz or somebody sacrificed a P-38 and actually built one. I'd love to see photos of that sucker.

The two above are PhotoShop studies...I was curious as to how a P-38 would look with a longer barrel...

...The artillery was where I got carried away...

I'm not sure where the P-38 carbine pic is...I saved it, but I don't think I saved the thread...

Here's a thread/pic of one...not the one I had in mind, though...

Oow...the pictures in my head are getting worse...that guy in the other thread got me going again...a 7.65mm P-38 artillery...with a broomhandle Mauser rear sight...made on a Numrich 30 cal barrel blank...with breech bored out and full-length chambering...oow...it hurts...
