Default NRA Rules Violated

Ok, I don't know if embedding videos here is against the Forum rules, if yes please delete it, but I thought this was funny and since it's from WW1 I thought it kind of fits here.

Check this video and see if you can identify the NRA safe gunhandling rulebreak here

Well, this is just amazing.

It looks like they are looking down the bores of their rifles with the bolts closed.

But what are they actually doing? Or what do they think they are doing? Any ideas?

The soldier is holding the bolt in his hand. it is a rifle inspection, the troops are pulling the bolts and the instructors are inspecting the rifles. Near the end of the clip you can see the soldier to the left reinserting the bolt and the soldier whose rifle bore is being looked at has the bolt in his hand.

We had the inspections on the parade ground.
With the R1 (7.62mm FN) we locked the rifle in the open position, inserted our finger into the opening so that the fingernail will reflect light into the barrel. The Bombardier would then look into the barrel from the front to inspect it.

I think that this inspection is happening because this line of soldiers is about to embark on a journey. Perhaps on a train or boat and they want to make sure that the guns are not loaded. A very good idea! Just LOOK at those guys! Sure looks like an accident waiting to happen!
