Thank you for the warning! I've allready stiked a wire in the barrel first time I cleaned, it'is no shorter then barrel and chamber! And also the Geladen marked extractor is down!

Yes, it never hurts to check!

I was going to suggest bead blasting, or maybe crushed walnut shell blasting; but I have seen items that looked like there was metal under the rust just blow right through...Rust was the only thing keeping the shape...

Is it possible that the "barrel extension/muzzle protrusion" is the remains of a .22 cal conversion kit?
