Where have the shooter/projects gone?

Thank you all for your info and input. Perhaps I should look for a nickel "for show" gun. I have seen some in the last few years that were plated and sold for much lower prices. I suppose electroplating destroys collector value. And as previously mentioned, as parts become scarce, I can see sacrificing to keep these beutiful machines alive. Thanks so much for the input gentlemen. I'll put about $600 aside and maybe I can find what I'm looking for.
