Many repro stocks are made with an oversize loose fit so that they will go on any gun but aren't very satisfactory since they are so wobbly. Others, like the CMR, require a little fitting but will lock up tight when properly done. I bought some small curved files called "rifflers" that can get down into the groove of the stock iron for that little touchup fitting (it probably goes without saying, but fitting should never be attempted by filing down the stock lug on the gun!!!). Even original stocks are not always interchangeable and require fitting to a particular gun.
