John, DWM is Deutch Waffen Und Munitionfabriken, the German Company that manufactured these pistols.
The serial #, even if you had it will do you no good to" trace it back". The same serials were used over & over in subsequent runs. Youtube may have shown a 1911 but that would have been the date found on the chamber..not the Model or type. What is your interest in this particular pistol? Jerry Burney

I'm just curious to know why it was having accidental discharges. Even though its probably not possible since I don't have it in my possession anymore. The Luger was my uncles but after a while he thought it was to dangerous to manage and sold it. I've just been puzzled why it was so unreliable after a while.
