I also agree with George. The very best is the book on the Somme. Then Vimy Ridge, and lass the Passendale (spelling?).
This doen't mean the others are not great, I just thought the Somme was brilliant and wonderful. He has authered the book titled (I think) the Germans at Beaumont Hamel" which is both a history and a tour book, reasonably cheap and very interesting. Well worth having. I am looking for english language books about WW1 western front battles and especially if they mention iunits from Hamburg, Niedersachen and W�¼rttemburg.If anyone knows titles send them to me!!
