There is not a specific rf chart, but if you give us full serial number and suffix, Frank might know an approx date....

I think they made over 100,000 byf 42's, so low number is how you look at it, as they made around the same number of byf 41's, etc....

Where do I find the full serial number? I am guessing this is the last of the Mauser Lugers. I got this one for $500 the dealer was selling three the one for 1200 had matching holster tool and clip. now I am thinking I should have snapped that one up when I had the chance. It was my first big gun show with a pistol license I did not want to buy on the first pass through the dealer room.
