I was in London this same time last year and I saw several people wearing what I thought looked like a tomato made out of paper. Finally, I asked someone and they said it was a poppy for Remembrance Day. It took me a few moments to release it was what we call VeteranĂ¢??s Day.

The sad part was that almost everyone I saw wearing one of these paper poppies was over 50.
