Default Replica Holster

I purchased a repleca holster from (I don't remember) that was too small for the pistol in the end of the frame (the very top). The distance from the butt of the frame to the front sight was short, making it almost impossible to remove the pistol from the holster. The use of the "leather drawstring" didn't move the pistol up at all. So, I got out my Dremel, and did a little sanding with the sanding cylinder in the area where the butt of the frame was binding. Careful work here, don't want to sand through the leather. I was able to sand enough leather off of the interior to allow the pistol to drop out if I shook the system a little. I then applied a goodly amount of Pecard's to the inside, and in the front of the holster where I ground out leather around the Knobs. Wrapped the pistol in plasric, and let it sit for a day or two. So for so good, but with the holster on a belt, the leather draw string still would not pull the pistol up enough to remove it from the holster. I looked at the pistol, and saw the bar at the very rear that was used to attach the stock. Oh! I thought, what a great place to thread a shoe lace through to pull that sucker out of the holster, rather than using the leather draw string. Works like a charm, but the pisrol comes out so well that I have to catch it in the air with my right hand. This didn't really bother me, so far as a "fast draw" is concerned, because one has to unbuckle the flap to get the thing out anyway, and that takes time, too. I'm happy with my modification, and wanted to share it with those who may be having the same issue with a replica holster.
