Hi Jeff,
I'm currently working on a parts comparison diagram, for a future publication. The Swiss M1929 and the 1970s Mauser Parabellum have a lot in common but also differ strongly from the DWM/Erfurt/Krieghoff P08 design in more ways than one. Grip safety and safety construction is completely different. Generally speaking, the toggle assembly as a whole is pretty much interchangeable. Springs, sear, firing pins and sideplates and small bits as well. Barrels are a challenge, receivers will work with some tweaking, etc.., etc... Swapping parts without thoroughly checking fit and functionality is not without danger. I once had a gun go full auto after a firing pin mix-up. |
