Hello all,
I have been reading conflicting information on the barrel length of Artillery Lugers at 7 or 8 inch long. Anyone have more info on the barrel lengths? Sincerely, Bill Jensen |

I am measuring from the outside seam between the barrel and receiver, to the tip of the barrel. Is this the correct way to measure the barrel length. I get 7 inches this way. Luger Artiglieria says 8" page 41.

Bill,
* 200mm long. Face of the breech to the muzzle crown. * 25.4mm to the inch if you want an exact number in inches. * Most documentation rounds this off to 8". * Trust this helps. Bob

Hi Bob,
What is the face of the breech? Is it where the groove of the back of the bullet would touch the barrel assembly? Sincerely, Bill Jensen |

It is the front of the breech block. Stick a cleaning rod down the barrel until it stops and measure that length.
