commercial swiss ?
Here is another luger I am looking at in a comming auction . I don't know much about the commercials , gather they were very fine pistols made in the 1920's for the civilian market ? what do they go for in the states ?
Think I would rather a military Bern , but this might do for a start . SWISS COMMERCIAL LUGER PISTOL: 7.65 Cal; 120mm (4¾") tapered barrel with Swiss cross & shield to breech & d.w.m. to toggle; 7 rnd mag; exc bore; fitted with grip safety; all profiles sharp & markings clear; retaining 95% orig blue finish with wear to side plate & frame; strong straw colours to thumb safety lever, trigger, lock, lock & mag catch; vg chequered walnut grips; all complete; gwo & vg+ cond. Hard to fault. #13925 L/R $3000 to $3500 ? http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload...uger_swiss.jpg

Raygun, be careful. The photo of this luger appears to have a blued ejector. The piece may have been restored.

Chris,
In order to tell you more about this Luger, we will need to know what proof marks are on the left receiver, barrel, and breechblock sides; the serial number; any other markings which show up on the gun. What is the mark on the right receiver? --Dwight |

Thanks for the feedback fellers , but I decided not too bid on it and apparently it was passed in . your observations may be right and it was not worth the reserve! Good call on the ejector , it should be straw coloured shouldn't it !
