If RIA is like other auction houses, they are realizing at least 30-40% profit on the hammer price (buyers and sellers fees). I know that there is overhead involved in hosting an auction, but 1/3 of the sale price seems just a bit over the top. I have the same gripe with other auction sites and I have to choose between making a bid and a kick in the groin to participate...I really have to painfully want the item.

The normal "buyer's premium" is 15%, if paid by credit card, then 17.5%. Bided once there, too far away from final winning price..... I lose but I felt happy.

They seem to do a really nice job on the catalogs but @ $60 each + shipping they should look really good. I one on my bookshelf and the photography is VERY nice.
