Ron Wood Moderator 2010 LugerForum Patron Join Date: Jun 2002 Location: Santa Teresa New Mexico just outside of the West Texas town of El Paso Posts: 7,040 Thanks: 1,106 Thanked 5,257 Times in 1,724 Posts	Bill, Yes, the extractor with the separate spring was a feature of the "New Model" of 1906 (the new model breechblock with the improved extractor actually made its first appearance with the 03/04 Navy and the so-called 1903 French commercial). The 1900-02 extractor was a one piece spring. I swiped the following photo from Pete's link to Guisan's post. __________________ If it's made after 1918...it's a reproduction
