Guys, I have one of the purported Portuguese lanyards, and it is made from cylindrical leather like an old Singer sewing machine belt. I am pretty sure it is a reproduction... it was a gift many years ago from our old friend and co-founder Patrick Villiers... I miss having his expertise around here... I understand he hangs out on Jan Still's forum... but I don't have enough time to read both. I only go there when a member here references a thread over there of interest.
