Wing & John,
First off, welcome to the Luger forum Wing; glad to have you. John is correct that the Artillery Luger (long) was primarily a WWI pistol, but I have read and seen photos of the motorcycle dispatch riders carrying this pistol in a holster on their belt. The normal carry in WWI was a strap attached to the holster and over the shoulder. I have an Artillery model with a holster that was brought back from WWII. I don't have any documentation, so I can't say for sure it was used in WWII, but the chance may be there. For Modeling, I would use it for WWI only. Marvin |
