Nice Christian,
I have got a similar TM08 a few months ago. Mine is from the Verdun battlefield. In my TM08, in really poor condition (see the page "Relic TM08 from Verdun Battle" on my web site), the Schutzkappe is still present. Have fun. Cheers, Mauro
