Here's my contribution.....

Frisky, my 16 year old Siamese mix, is a catnip fiend.... Crack heads, sterno sinffers, heroin junkies... they can't hold a candle to him.

One night I came home late and found him all lit up on the sofa. I was so un-nerved, I locked myself in the bedroom armed with my trusty .45 caliber black powder Ruger Old Army (this was back in my pre-Luger days). I stayed locked up in my room all night, gripped by mortal fear.

The lower photo is what he looks like under more tranquil conditions. A true Jekyl and Hyde.
