Default San Fransisco area

Hi,

A question for lugerheads in the San Fransisco area: A good friend of mine, Peter, is touring the US at the moment. I know him from our local Mercedes-Benz scene (that other hobby) and I want to see if there's anyone in the area who can show him the fun side of this hobby, as a contrast to all those German cars he already saw there. Any chance of someone organizing a couple of hours of serious firing range moments next week?

I am in the high Ca. desert area, near the Death valley area...about 6 hours south of SF and about 3 hours north of LA....more on his was to Las Vegas....if he was going that way,... I could arrange for some range time....M1a...m1 carb...a dozen type of hand guns, Browning/Colt/Sig/Ruger/S&W and so on....but I do not shoot the collectable Luger, I think I could find him one.....and moose/elk/buffalo burgers for lunch!

I remember a couple of years ago when I was over in holland . Gerben took the time to pick me up ( quite a distance) and bring me back . We went to his gun club and had a wonderful time shooting his lugers. It was my great pleasure meeting this fine gentleman and fellow collector.

If he makes it as far south as Phoenix, I would be glad to take him shooting in the AZ desert. If he can't take our moderate 105 degree temps, we could shoot at Scottsdale Gun Club which is indoors. The Grand Canyon is just north and Arizona is beautiful.

Gerben;

If he get's up the coast to the Portland (Oregon) area, there are a number of Forum members who would be willing to host an outing. Let me know, I'll put the word out and see how many we can get.

Thanks,
Bob M.

I live about 1 1/2 hours north of SF in the wine area. If he likes to drink good wine then I may be able to get him to come by for some tastings then let him shoot a few lugers, p38s, pp, ppks, 44 mags ect. Just need to known when and where. I also have a 380 sl that my 16 yr old son drives.
