pipeman, I understand that, but I have mixed feelings... It has been in the family, like this for many years, and was handed down as a heirloom.


I did think the sexist part of the only sons may pass it along is wrong. My wife has a stronger sense of history of her dads guns than her brother and her sister who is a cop. And she was first born... Further, anyone who studies genealogy knows that a name is passed, but obviously both sides of the family is just as important... From my mothers side, I am a Sons of Union Veteran member and a revolutionary war decendent. From my dads side, well, we don't know yet
