Yes...all of the above...and even "force matching" small parts with the "right" 2-digit serial numbered part(s) to restore a non-matching gun back to "matching' status and then selling it for more money...

Another big boosting activity is taking a simply, cheap "donor" gun like the blank-chambered 1920's and making very exotic, rare, and more costly "phony-balony" lugers out of them...this is more high-end boosting and takes more skill on the part of the "mechanics".
