Default Help on a Mauser 1910

I previewed an auction piece for Saturday that is a little odd. It is a Mauser 1910 serial number 415532. The grip strap has the number 8781 and the right frame marked 3535 38 with what looks like a Czech proof under it. Any ideas as to what it is?

Mark,

It's a scarce 1910/34 close to end of production in 1940. Possibly Czech police issued just prior to German invasion or post war. It would be worth going after. The "38" could be the year of issue. Germany invaded Poland in Sept.1939 and Czechoslovakia in 1940 if I recall correctly.

What type of grip configuration does it have?

Ron

Czechoslovakia in 1938, Poland 1939.

I've just learned from another collector that 3535 is the number in the proof journal and 38 the year, my gun was the 3535th gun proofed in 1938.
