Hi Pete,
You posted a picture of a rig on my thread I started 10-11-2006 (Potuguese oiler/steel rod). I saw a holster like this one for sale recently and these are different from what I was told a M2 holster is. The one I have and others I've seen did not have the leather piece stitched onto the bottom edge of the flap and the flap on mine is much more pointed on the bottom edge. Your's also has stitching around the closer hole, mine does'nt. I assume the gun pictured is a M2 and not a Swiss. Could that be my confusion? Mine has an (AE) arsenal stamp on the back which I was told is also correct for a M2. Please straighten me out. Thanks, Mike C. |

Hi Mike,
My M2 Luger and holster are shown in a photo album in the "Member's Gallery, on page 6, 3rd. allbum down from the top. My holster is "AE" stamped just near and a bit underneath the wide belt loop. Mine is a fancy holster with leather trim/piping all around. Several types of M2 holsters are shown in the large luger holster book by E. Bender on pages 434 through 439. My fancy holster type is shown on page 438, specifically. If you do not have the Bender book, send me a PM and your email and I would be happy to send you photo scans of these pages in the Bender book. |

Thanks guys,
So there are different variations for M2's. I definitly need one of those deluxe models. I'll add that to my wish list. It's sure getting long. Mike C.

Mike,
Mike Morris just posted one for sale : http://www.relicsofthereichs.com/por...ster%20obv.jpg Looks like $ 375 which includes the oiler/rod and drift pin tool as well. Take those values out and the holster price is not bad... |

Hi Pete,
I spoke to him when he first pictured it with no price which prompted me to start this thread, but I had just purchased another one in poor condition for the cleaning rod that came with it, and I already have another in better shape. Bad timing. I guess I could get it and send the other two to Ebay. Thanks for the heads up. Mike C.
